Product Specialist

Job description

Top Ten Liquors is hiring experienced wine specialists at several of our locations. Currently, we have stores in Andover, Blaine, Chanhassen, Cottage Grove, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, Osseo, Plymouth, Ramsey, Rosemount, Roseville, St. Louis Park, Vadnais Heights, and Woodbury. We are looking for a results-driven wine specialist to be responsible for selling wine and educating teammates. The successful candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals, and train associates in wine. This is a great opportunity for knowledgeable wine enthusiasts with retail, restaurant, or trade experience. Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Listen to a customer’s needs, assess their palette, and recommend wine based on their budget and taste

  • Ensure an outstanding customer experience and drive sales by welcoming guests, sharing product knowledge, providing recommendations, and carrying out product for guests

  • Educate teammates on wine, how to sell wine, and encourage participating in company-provided training

  • Create a positive work environment where employees are engaged, motivated, and inspired

  • Encourage employee development by promoting use of Top Ten’s professional development payback program

  • Lead and support visual directives from marketing, check in product from vendors, fill shelves and move merchandise as necessary, and oversee inventory processes

  • Meet Top Ten’s store standards by maintaining a clean and safe store

  • Comply with all laws and regulations regarding the sale of alcohol

  • Additional duties as needed

Requirements

  • Candidate must have 3+ years’ experience in the wine industry (retail, restaurant, or trade)

  • Candidate must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Candidate must be able to lift 50+ lbs with reasonable accommodation

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time (employees working fewer than 30 hours do not receive benefits)

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
